Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 July 2026 · Applies to iptvspree.com and the IPTV Spree Samsung Smart TV application

Summary: IPTV Spree is a player application. We collect data needed to run household subscriptions for up to 3 TVs, pair devices, store playlist credentials securely, provide the launch waitlist, understand website use, and protect the service. We do not sell your personal data.

1. Who we are

IPTV Spree (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website iptvspree.com and the IPTV Spree application for Samsung Smart TVs. For privacy enquiries contact privacy@iptvspree.com.

2. What IPTV Spree does (and does not do)

IPTV Spree is a media player only. We do not provide, host, broadcast, or sell television channels, video-on-demand libraries, or any other content. You supply your own M3U playlist URL or Xtream Codes credentials from a third-party service you are entitled to use.

3. Information we collect

  • Device identifier (DUID): Your Samsung TV’s unique device ID, used to register the device, pair playlists, and manage licences.
  • Pairing data: Temporary pairing tokens and timestamps when you link a TV from your phone.
  • Playlist credentials: M3U URLs and/or Xtream server, username, and password that you submit during pairing. These are encrypted at rest on our servers and transmitted to your registered TV only.
  • Subscription and licence data: Trial start/end dates, subscription status, plan type, and payment references.
  • Payment information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers. Stripe provides us with transaction IDs, amounts, and payment status.
  • Household and recovery data: Household code, recovery email, linked TVs, seat usage, and subscription status for a household of up to 3 TVs.
  • Launch waitlist data: Email address, the Samsung TV IPTV player you currently use, signup time, landing page, referrer, user agent, and approximate country, city, and region inferred from your IP address.
  • Website analytics: Pages visited (without query strings or secret pairing/recovery path tokens), timestamps, referrer, user agent, browser, operating system, device type, a pseudonymous analytics identifier stored for up to one year, a hashed IP-derived identifier, and approximate country, city, region, latitude, and longitude inferred from IP. We use this to count visits, distinguish likely bots, understand traffic sources, and improve the site.
  • Technical and security logs: IP address or a protected derivative, browser/user agent, request timestamps, and error logs for security, abuse prevention, diagnostics, and service operation.
  • Admin account data: If you are an authorised administrator, email address and authentication credentials.

We do not intentionally collect special category data. Do not submit sensitive personal information through the pairing form.

4. How we use your information

  • Provide pairing, encrypted playlist delivery, and player functionality on your TV
  • Manage trials and paid household subscriptions covering up to 3 registered TVs
  • Send the launch notification requested through our waitlist
  • Measure website use, traffic sources, approximate geography, and browser compatibility
  • Process payments and prevent fraud
  • Provide customer support and respond to legal requests
  • Maintain security, audit logs, and service reliability
  • Comply with applicable law

We do not use your data for third-party advertising profiling.

5. Legal bases (UK / EEA users)

Where UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, we rely on: contract to provide pairing, household subscriptions, recovery, and requested service messages; consent to send the launch notification you request (which you may withdraw at any time); legitimate interests to secure the service, prevent fraud and bots, diagnose faults, and understand aggregate website performance; and legal obligation for records we must retain. We balance analytics against privacy by pseudonymising identifiers and excluding query strings and secret pairing/recovery tokens.

6. Sharing and processors

We share data only as needed with:

  • Stripe — payment processing (Stripe Privacy Policy)
  • Hosting providers — to run iptvspree.com and store encrypted data
  • Authorities — when required by law or to protect rights and safety

We do not sell personal data. Samsung Electronics is not a controller of data collected through iptvspree.com; the TV app communicates with our servers under this policy.

7. International transfers

Your data may be processed in the United Kingdom and in countries where our hosting or payment processors operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

8. Retention

  • Playlist credentials — while your device remains registered and for a reasonable period after cancellation to allow reactivation, unless you request earlier deletion
  • Licence and payment records — as required for accounting, tax, and dispute resolution (typically up to 7 years where applicable)
  • Pairing tokens — until used or expired (short-lived)
  • Server logs — rotated on a rolling basis, generally not more than 90 days unless needed for security investigations
  • Website analytics visits — generally 90 days, subject to an operational retention setting of no more than 365 days; the pseudonymous analytics identifier in your browser expires after one year
  • Launch waitlist details — until the launch notification has been sent and follow-up administration is complete, or until you ask us to delete them

When you request deletion, we delete or anonymise data that we no longer need, including waitlist and household data where applicable. We may retain limited payment, fraud, dispute, security, or legal records for the periods above when deletion is not legally or operationally possible. Deleting playlist or household data may prevent the app and linked TVs from working.

9. Security

We use encryption for playlist credentials, HTTPS for website traffic, access controls for administration, and industry-standard practices appropriate to the nature of the data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

10. Cookies and similar technologies

Our public marketing pages do not require login cookies. The admin area and authenticated sessions may use essential cookies or tokens to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies on iptvspree.com. Payment pages may set cookies required by Stripe.

11. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to processing (including analytics based on legitimate interests), withdraw consent, and data portability. UK users may complain to the ICO. To exercise rights or request deletion, email privacy@iptvspree.com with your waitlist email, recovery email, or device ID (DUID) if known. We may need to verify your request before acting.

12. Children

IPTV Spree is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us to request deletion.

13. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Material changes may be communicated on the website.
